The Limitless Academy (TLA) is powered by Concerned Citizens Community Involvement (CCCI), a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. The purpose of TLA is to bridge the educational resource gap within urban communities by empowering students to learn and master cooperative learning and technical skills while developing professional aptitudes and attitudes. The Limitless Academy is a Saturday enrichment program in South Los Angeles, that runs six to eight week sessions throughout the year to prepare students to compete in regional Botball competitions and the International Global Conference on Educational Robotics (GCER), produced by KISS Institute for Practical Robotics. The Limitless Academy held its first session in June 2014 and has trained over 50 students.Some students have been accepted to prominent STEM high schools and others have gone on to college to pursue computer programming degrees. In 2015, the “Limitless” logo was designed by academy student Sydney Hooks.
The Limitless Academy won its first Botball award in 2016 for “Outstanding Programming.”
The success of the Limitless Academy is the foundation for developing The Limitless Initiative.
In the 2016 tournament, the Limitless Academy Elite Team finished 5th overall in a field of 26 teams.
In the 2017 Double Elimination Robotics Competition The Limitless Academy Elite Team finished 4th our highest ranking in three years of participation.
